About Me
Oregon-Based IT Professional β’ Army National Guard Soldier β’ Technology Student
Hi, I’m Jordan Aikens.
I’m an Oregon-based IT professional, Army National Guard Soldier, and Information Technology Management student with a passion for solving problems and continuously learning new technologies.
My path into technology wasn’t a straight line. Before working in IT, I worked in a variety of industries that taught me the value of hard work, adaptability, and persistence. Those experiences shaped how I approach technical challenges today: stay curious, ask questions, and keep working the problem until you find a solution.
Today, I work in technical support, helping organizations troubleshoot complex issues involving cloud services, communications platforms, and data archiving systems. Outside of work, I’m pursuing my bachelor’s degree while serving in the Oregon Army National Guard.
I created The Aikens Algorithm as a place to document what I’m learning, share technical insights, and discuss the lessons I’ve picked up throughout my career. My goal is to make technology more approachable while demonstrating the value of curiosity, continuous learning, and effective problem-solving.
When I’m not working, studying, or serving, I’m usually training, working on personal projects, exploring the Pacific Northwest, or spending time with my dog, Mya, who has been my loyal sidekick through many of life’s adventures.
Whether you’re here to learn something new, follow my professional journey, or connect with a fellow technology enthusiast, I’m glad you’re here.
Welcome to The Aikens Algorithm.

Meet My Sidekick
This is Mya. She’s 10 years old, and I’ve been lucky enough to have her by my side for every one of those years.
Over the last decade, she’s been there through career changes, military service, college classes, and more than a few life lessons. No matter what season of life I’m in, she’s always ready for the next adventure.
Outside of work and school, one of my favorite ways to recharge is exploring the Pacific Northwest with Mya. Whether it’s a quiet trail, a weekend road trip, or a day spent on the Oregon coast, Mya is usually riding shotgun.
Our favorite local destination is Pacific City. Between the Oregon coastline, the dunes, and the view of Haystack Rock, it’s a place we’ve returned to countless times over the years.
Mya is more than just a dogβshe’s been a constant companion throughout my journey and a reminder to slow down, get outside, and enjoy the process along the way.
